UPDATE 10/21/21: While I LOVE tough questions, I am also wildly inspired by my current role and have put this project on hold. Why do you ask so many questions?!

Because if I didn’t, I’d never stop talking about myself! 😹😹😹 And because other people’s answers always seem to offer insight and inspiration. Being curious enough to ask questions and finding the courage to answer them has helped me break out of old patterns, develop new ones, and build stronger, healthier relationships. That’s also what the guy at Crossfit told me would happen when he sold me on a year-long membership. Here’s hoping you find more value in this than I did in that!

Weekly Q&A

Each week I send two tough questions via text message (SMS) to people like you interested in digging a little deeper into who they are and what they think about things like work, relationships, money, and death 🛠️💕💰☠️. You choose whether to answer, ignore me, or use them on Tinder with a coy “totally random question but…”

Bi-weekly Recaps

Every other week you’ll be texted the link to a recap post here on Substack to tease out recurring themes based on the previous two weeks of Q&A. It won’t land in your email inbox unless I’ve screwed up the settings here! Recaps are meant to highlight the curiosity and courage inherent in questioning yourself and the people around you, and your answers will never be shared without your explicit consent.

Just text me!

Somethings are just better over text 🤷🏽‍♂️. Some scientists even did a study to prove as much. To keep things personal and avoid adding to your email inbox, I’ll use text messages (SMS) to pose questions, share content, and seek feedback. Text me at 313.825.4670 to join from the US or 647.370.6832 if you’re in Canada 🇨🇦. If you can’t resist email, reach out at michael@legworkventuregroupe.com

Wait, what’s up with the name?

Oh, right! When asked recently why I didn’t talk about myself more, I said, “Because I’m more interested in other people’s answers!” I also struggle with some serious imposter syndrome and often don’t think my answers are good enough, but let’s focus on the former!
